honda civic nice car

The Honda Civic is a line of subcompact and subsequently compact cars made and manufactured by Honda. The Civic, along with the Accord and Prelude, comprised Honda's vehicles sold in North America until the 1990s, when the model lineup was expanded. Having gone through several generational changes, the Civic has become larger and more upmarket, and it currently slots between the Fit and Accord.

Concept Rendered: 2012 Honda Civic Si Hatchback

2012-Honda-Civic-Si-Hatchback
With the new 2012 Honda Civic lineup, having just been announced at New York Auto Show, it is natural for Honda enthusiasts scratching their heads and wondering where's the hatchback variant. Or better yet, where the Si hatchback

Apparently, it is now an photoshoppers great minds from around the world. Neal McDaniel mounted above the Temple of VTEC Civic Si Hatchback Concept at his ago, that there are many of us wondering if Honda will make it a reality. Although we believe the shares are too many lines in the hybrid CR-Z, the idea of ??the Civic Si sedan from 2012 Civic line is attractive.

To make, Neal would identify many of the changes he made: true, "A movement" design, shorter overhangs front and rear lights, tinted clear corners with the revision of a pillar garnish with cracked and height lowered body, 18-inch wheel, cleaner, underbody, a slightly lower roofline, extended rear passenger windows, a position slightly wider, and the orange tint in the factory.

Honda Civic

With starting prices ranging from below $14,000 to above $20,000 (US) the new Honda Civic has reasserted itself at the head of the class with exceptional fuel mileage, ride, braking, and literally in your face instrumentation.

Moms view: Despite its Toyota Prius like profile, the Civic is a much better vehicle than previous models. The interior is very iPodish with boldly colored gauges and a digital speedometer that cant be ignored tucked just below the very steeply racked windshield. The automatic transmission dulls the reaction of the 140-hp engine, but still provides excellent economy seldom going below 30 mpg. We averaged about 34 in mixed driving. The 60/40 fold down rear seats of our EX test car expanded the trunk space, but there wasnt as much room as the Toyota Prius. Honda did the right thing by providing standard side curtain airbags and ABS which are reassuring in smaller vehicles. You can even order a hotrod Si coupe with a 197 horsepower engine if you want to tempt the highway gods. Overall, I liked the Civic, but would go with the standard transmission.

New Styling Honda Civic 2010

The 2010 Honda Civic styling is unchanged, though if you pop the hood on an Si model youll see the color of its plastic engine shroud is now black instead of silver. This eighth-generation Civic was introduced for model-year 2006, bringing to the small-car field an artsy sense of design inside and out. No rival has quite matched it for sophisticated good taste, and Honda kept the look contemporary with some mid-cycle updates for model-year 2009. These are evident on the 2010 Honda Civic and include slightly sharper definition to the grille and lower front bumper. Headlights and taillights transitioned to trendy clear turn signal lenses with amber bulbs, and several models got new alloy wheel designs. Although it doesnt have the longest body in the class, no compact competitor has a longer wheelbase than the Honda Civic four-door sedan. This 106.3-inch span between front and rear axles defines the space available for the passenger compartment. In wheelbase and overall body length, Civics two-door coupe is about two inches shorter than the sedan. Thats in keeping with a jauntier demeanor that sacrifices rear-seat room to swoopy styling; the difference is driven home by a roofline a significant three inches lower than the sedans. Dont expect the Civic to change much in size when the all-new model debuts for model-year 2011. What that ninth generation Civic will look like, however, is Hondas closely guarded secret.
