Ascari Cars

The Ascari Cars Company is a British car producer located in Banbury, United Kingdom. It was founded by Klaas Zwart, a Dutch millionaire. The corporation was labelled after Alberto Ascari, who was the very 1st double world Formula One champ. Aside from producing automobiles, Ascari runs a racetrack as well, and it is called Race Resort Ascari.

The Ascari Cars was launched in the year 1995 in Dorset, England. The Ascari Ecosse is their first limited edition car established in the year 1998. Subsequent to the launch of the Ascari Ecosse, Klaas wart bought the corporation.

Who among us wouldn't love to race an Ascari around a track? Unfortunately, few can afford the astronomical price tag involved in buying one of their wonderful examples or even a trip to the mouthwatering Ascari Race Resort. To help out those of us on smaller budgets, Ascari has teamed up with toy car company NINCO to give us the Ascari slot car set.

The luxury Ascari Race Resort is nestled in the heart of southern Spains Andalusian Mountains (about an hours drive from the pomp and extravagance of Puerta Banus). Thanks to its geographical seclusion and protection from prying paparazzi, this is somewhere where the worlds wealthiest car enthusiasts and celebrities mingle and drive 360 days of the year.

The A10 features the same carbon-fibre chassis as the KZ1, with clamshell bodywork, FIA-specification roll cage and racing suspension. As a racing prototype, luxuries like soundproffing, air conditioning and stereo system have been removed, wit hthe car purely focused on performance and handling. The A10 featured on the BBC's 'Top Gear' in December 2007, where Jeremy Clarkson described it as a "a staggering car ... like a Koenigsegg but a million times more manageable".

Ascari A10

British Supercar manufacturer, Ascari has produced the answer to the Ferrari Enzo FXX, but for keeps!

Whereas the Enzo FXX is not road legal, it was produced to be driven during track days only and costs over $1,700,000, the A10 is road legal so can be driven home and parked on your drive, to the envy of your neighbors for just $650,000.

Designed, engineered and hand built in Banbury, England the A10 has 625 bhp and weighs in at around 2645 lbs, thanks to its lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork. Reaching 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and 100 mph in less than 6 seconds, the manufacturer claims the A10 is the fastest road going production car around a race track.

Only 10 are available and will be built to order.

The A10 is more than just a revamped KZ1, which has found success in its first year of competing in the GT3 in 2006. It has new body panels, a reworked engine and suspension, with extensive brake modifications to cope with the extra power. Lucky owners will also benefit, if they wish, from some luxuries such as remote central locking, electric windows and door mirrors, climate control and a Thatcham Category 1 alarm system.
