In the annals ?f Batmobile hist?ry, we are not sure where t? peg this latest versi?n. The good: It is dark, it's carb?n fiber and it spits flames fr?m a carbon-ceramic afterburner. The bad: It is just really freaking dull.
But because it's been designed by Gord?n Murray ?f McLaren F1 fame, we want to l?ve it. But cann?t.
But because it's been designed by Gord?n Murray ?f McLaren F1 fame, we want to l?ve it. But cann?t.
Unlike the jet-engined p?wered Batmobiles ?f yore, Murray's design is an ?dd attempt at the Dark Knight going green, with a hydr?gen fuel cell and a brace ?f lithium-ion batteries. The carb?n fiber body supp?sedly breathes and the virtual wheels are ringed in LEDs.
How either ?f those features help the caped crusader fight crime is bey?nd us, but then again, s? is the idea of the Batman Live W?rld Arena Tour it's been built f?r.
Y?u can check out Murray's ?riginal sketch in the gallery below and watch a du? ?f videos below. We are g?ing t? weep quietly as yet another childh?od dream vehicles succumbs t? the PC overl?rds.
