The reas?n? Styling issues. Currently, the Fusion and MKZ are n?t exactly identical twins, but it is not all that hard t? tell them apart. Furtherm?re, it's said that Ford is hoping t? better differentiate the MKZ Hybrid fr?m the standard sedan.
We are not talking ab?ut huge design leaps here; expect the gas versus hybrid styling differences t? be similar t? what Hyundai does with its Sonata.
Speaking ?f the MKZ Hybrid, Ford Inside News rep?rts that the Fusion Hybrid's updated p?wertrain is expected t? achieve around 47 miles per gall?n in the city.
