The 2012 Camaro ZL1 Automatic Option With Offer ZR1 Traction System


The 2012 Chevr?let Camaro ZL1 will g? int? production in the first quarter ?f next year, and n?w, Al Oppenheiser, General Motors' chief engineer ?n the Camaro, has c?nfirmed a few details ab?ut what we can expect with the range-topping muscle c?upe.

During the Camaro h?mecoming at GM's Oshawa pant, Oppenheiser stated that in additi?n t? an automatic transmission ?ption, the ZL1 will be available with the same Perf?rmance Traction Management system f?und ?n the Corvette ZR1.
In the Corvette, PTM inc?rporates launch c?ntrol, as well as the n?rmal traction contr?l, active handling and selective ride contr?l systems.
What's m?re, Oppenheiser stated that the ZL1's ?utput numbers will be higher than the originally estimated 550 h?rsepower. The ZL1 is p?wered by the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 as the Cadillac CTS-V.
