Daihatsu Xenia is the name of
Indonesian multi purposes vehicle (
MPV). A co-designed and co-manufactured
MPV product of Astra
Daihatsu Motor and
Toyota Astra Motor (Both are main manufacturer and distributor of Japanese vehicle in
Indonesia). The
Xenia was launched for the first time in 2003 with 2 brands:
Daihatsu Xenia which marketed by Astra
Daihatsu Motor, while
Toyota Astra Motor marketed under the brand
Toyota Avanza.

Daihatsu Xenia marketed with two types of gasoline engines, with Electronic Fuel Injection: 1.3L 4-inline cylinder 16 valve (K3-DE DOHC) (power max. 92hp/6000 rpm and torque 12.2 kgm/4400 rpm) and 1.0L 3-inline cylinder, 12-valve (EJ-VE), DOHC (power max. 63 hp/5600 rpm, torque 9.2 kgm/3600 rpm).

Daihatsu Xenia released in
Indonesia by the three main series, namely Mi, Li, and Xi. Varian Mi and Li used a 1.0L engine, while the Xi using the 1.3L engine. The main difference between Mi and Li is the lack of power steering on the variant Mi (lowest), Mi variants also still use an iron alloy (Li uses an iron alloy).
Xenia automatic variant is available only in the highest (Xi) is called the
Xenia Matic.
