Kia Carens 2011

The Kia Carens is a compact MPV launched in 1999 by the Korean manufacturer Kia and marketed worldwide under various nameplates, prominently as the Kia Rondo.
The model was discontinued in Australia in 2001, with production continuing elsewhere for a new model which was launched in 2002. In 2006, Kia presented a second generation Carens for model year 2007.

The Carens/Rondo followed Kia's introduction at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show of the Multi-S,essentially the Carens/Rondo in concept form the S standing for Sporty, Spacious and Smart. The Multi-S differed significantly from the production model only its inclusion of a dual-panel sunroof running the length of the roof.

Prominently displaying the signature tabbed grille and wraparound headlamps soon to be seen on all Kia models, Sorento offers a more aggressive stance and sleeker profile than the previous version. Completely redesigned for 2011, the all-new Kia Sorento now employs a unibody design with the ability to comfortably fit up to seven passengers, offering more space and ride comfort than the previous-generation model. With a streamlined and attractive look, the new Kia Sorento represents a modern CUV that is just the right size for today's consumer.
With nearly five cubic feet more in cargo capacity, the new generation effortlessly accommodates both passenger and cargo needs for cruising around town as easily as weekends camping in the mountains.
Head and legroom also have been increased for optimal occupant comfort. With 142.5 cubic feet of interior volume when equipped with five seats or 149.4 cubic feet with seven, Kia Sorento offers quite a bit more space over the previous generation's 137.5 cubic feet. Moving inside, the feeling of spaciousness is all the more evident, and with both five- and seven-passenger seating configurations, Kia Sorento is now more versatile than ever.
The view from the rear offers the same forceful attitude with a rounded back and tail lamps set powerfully within the rear lift gate. With an angled window line, large flared-back headlamps, prominent fog lamps and rounded nose, the all-new Kia Sorento clearly belongs to the Kia family and effortlessly conveys strength and authority. Confident and Contemporary Exterior Based on the Kia KND-4 Concept shown during the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show, Kia Sorento offers the same swept-back lines and dynamic presence as the concept vehicle.
For enhanced ride performance, the all-new 2011 Kia Sorento employs a more compact and lighter MacPherson strut front suspension and a fully independent multi-link rear suspension. To further meet consumer needs, both engines can be mated to either front- or all-wheel-drive configurations, the latter coming with a locking center differential to evenly distribute power to all wheels while operating the vehicle at low speeds during more severe weather conditions. This all-new six-speed automatic transmission is a proprietary design for Kia Motors that was designed, engineered and built specifically for Kia vehicles, making the brand one of only three manufacturers to employ such a transmission.

All trims come outfitted with driver and passenger advanced front airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, side curtain airbags and front active headrests, four-wheel Antilock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). Like all Kia vehicles, the 2011 Sorento is equipped with a plethora of standard safety equipment.
Keyless entry and ignition are highlights of the Sorento as is the rearview television cameras so that youll have no excuse for running over the neighbors cat. It also comes equipped with a rear entertainment system for those long trips (you know 15 minutes or more).
All-in-all the 2011 Kia Sorento is a good ride for the money.

Car Pictures and Reviews: 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo

Car Pictures and Reviews: 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo | Car Review | The Kia Optima SX Turbo is wonderful, I can not think of any parts in which disappointing. It is also simply beautiful to look at. There are plenty of legroom in front and rear passengers to easily accommodate more than six feet tall and its trunk is very large. And with a turbocharged engine, the Kia Optima achieves an impressive balance of speed, power and economy. It accelerates quickly, and yet I managed 25 mpg in mixed driving. Not a great car but it is certainly a good deal.

This is an exception to the rule: "Do not mess with a good thing." Kia was already a good car, the Optima, and made it even better with the addition of 274 hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and sports suspension. At first I thought the turbo was too much for power through the front wheels - but I was wrong. As a little 'patience at low speeds, mitigating the couple waited to drive, and when you change, with more than 74 horses aspirated Optima EX is welcome and will be without penalty. EPA rating is 22 mpg SX Turbo city/34 mpg highway, just 1 mpg less in town, and the same votive highway. The suspension is firm but not hard, and the steering is sensitive, to remove the artificial feeling of heaviness in the EX. EX is tuned to appeal in the heart of the traditional market, but the SX Turbo is a practical, efficient machine, a driving enthusiast can enjoy every day. [ Car Review ]

I was very impressed with the Turbo Optima SX series, and this requires really mark things. The most notable was added to 75 horsepower from the turbocharged engine. The car is very fast, and surprisingly not a lot of torque, even if all the power through the front wheels. The management is very good for improving the suspension SX, and traction control system works well without being too distracting. But the most amazing thing about this car is its value. Our test car was fully loaded, including the panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled seats, heated rear seats, navigation and traffic information reporting and stylish wheels, all for just $ 30K. One of the best market value, there is no reason not to keep this car when shopping for a new sedan. [ Car Review ]
