Nrburgring 24: Toyota Reveal GRMN Hybrid

T?yota is set t? pull the sheets back ?n a new convertible sports hybrid at this year's Nurburgring 24-H?ur endurance race. Co-devel?ped by Gazoo Racing, the GRMN Hybrid C?ncept II is a slightly updated version ?f the c?ncept that Toyota displayed at the 2010 Tokyo Aut? Sal?n.

With its gas?line engine mounted mid-ship and a hybrid all-wheel-drive system, the GRMN sh?uld deliver drivers plenty ?f grip and excellent balance as well.
T?tal combined ?utput sits at 295 horsepower, with 245 p?nies coming fr?m the gasoline V6 and an?ther 50 arriving via an electric mot?r. That motor supplies p?wer t? the two front wheels ?nly.
The aut?maker says the machine weighs in at less than 3,300 lbs, th?ugh there is no indicati?n as to what sort ?f fuel economy t? expect fr?m the drop-head. S?, when can y?u buy one? We w?uld not hold ?ur breath. With its wild lo?ks and pricey all-wheel-drive system, it will be a c?ld day in Toyota City bef?re the GRMN lands on dealer l?ts.
