To feed this engine the 2011 Renault DeZir has behind the driver seat a 24 kWh lithium-battery using its electric plug-in system, either from a conventional household plug taking around 8 hours to accomplish a complete charge, or by a fast charge using 400 volt and charging the batteriy to 80% of its capacity in around 20 minutes. Other option and much more faster option to charge the 2011 Renault DeZir is by its Quick Drop capability where the vehicle is driven into a battery exchange facility where the used batteries are swapped for fresh ones in about three minutes.
